Legal Department

The Legal Department of “New Uzbekistan” University is established to ensure compliance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as presidential decrees, resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, and other regulatory legal acts. The Department provides expert oversight of the University’s legal and regulatory activities, participates in legislative drafting and review, safeguards the rights and interests of the University, and promotes legal awareness among staff. It operates under the direct authority of the Rector and supports the University’s mission by ensuring the rule of law, legality, and transparent governance in all organizational processes.

Ensure legality and compliance in all University activities, including contracts, orders, resolutions, and other legal documents, by conducting expert legal reviews and providing written conclusions.

Participate in the drafting, review, and approval of regulatory, normative, and other legal documents, including internal regulations, agreements, and policy frameworks, ensuring alignment with national legislation and prevention of corruption risks

Monitor the application of labor laws, contracts, collective agreements, and other employment-related legal documents, providing guidance and legal expertise to management and staff.

Analyze and report on legal issues, compliance risks, and potential violations within the University, submitting proposals to the Rector and relevant authorities to prevent or correct infractions.

Provide legal advice and support on rights, obligations, and regulatory changes affecting University staff, students, and external partners.

Organize, implement, and oversee initiatives to enhance legal literacy, awareness, and understanding of legislative developments among University personnel.

Coordinate and participate in dispute resolution, pre-trial settlements, and litigation to protect the University’s property, financial, and contractual interests.

Maintain a systematic record and analysis of normative-legal documents, including monitoring amendments, legislative updates, and relevant judicial practices affecting the University.

Collaborate with internal and external bodies, including government authorities, to ensure compliance with legislation, address complaints, and provide expert legal input for policy and operational improvements.
